The mission of NOVICA, an online company that has partnered with National Geographic, is not a small one: “We want to call for a home decor revolution, if we would be so bold.” And a revolution they have started, as they seek to support local artisans and their work by connecting them to buyers online.
SPI has recently partnered with NOVICA, which will sell the replica ceramics of San Jose de Moro and carved gourds and woven mats of Pampas Gramalote on their website. The income derived from this sale will further support the communities and their locally-created and -run businesses which necessitate the preservation of their precious cultural heritage sites.
Similar to SPI, NOVICA seeks to form mutually beneficial connections: “We want to give artists and artisans around the world a global platform to express their true artistic talents and to spur their creativity. And, we want to provide you with access to unique, hard-to-find items at great values that only the Internet infrastructure can allow.”
The locally-crafted pieces of San Jose de Moro and Pampas Gramalote will be available for sale on NOVICA next month. Take the opportunity to browse and buy their one-of-a-kind treasures that support the preservation of endangered archaeological sites!
